A Manifesto
A Manifesto is a public declaration of intentions. A Manifesto for Men is a public declaration by and for Christian Men … about the problems we face and a call to respond based on God’s Truth with new levels of mutual accountability and mutual aid!
The Problem
Christian manhood is at an all time low in the United States today. Just ask yourself – is there any person or group that has helped you systematically grow as a Christian man, husband, father or provider?
Christian men sense that they aren’t getting the help they need at Church.
As a result, the Church in our Nation is losing men and not passing the faith on to the next generation of children.
Men who are Church members often do not understand the Bible or the Christian Faith – such men are easy prey for people and movements with unbiblical agendas.
Men who are Church members are often undisicplined and their lives are chaotic – men have little ability to credibly testify to the transforming power of Jesus Christ to others.
Men who are Church members often do not understand what a Christian Society is or how Jesus Christ is responsible for everything in this society we commonly call “Good” – such men are easy prey for people who would offer them promises of ease in exchange for true liberty.
Men who are Church members often do not participate in Christian service or evangelism – such men are self-centered and not Christ-centered.
Men who are Church members often do not have a Christian Worldview and can only complain about problems in society – such men do not have the knowledge, skills, or contacts to promote Christian Society.
Men who are Church members often are isolated – such men do not have the friendship, accountability and encouragement for their tasks as Christians, husbands, fathers, or in their other callings.
A Prescription
To address these problems, it is necessary to form a local body in that is of, by, and for Jesus Christ and His Church and seeks to promote Christian manhood and Christian Society and produce men with the character to responsible serve in the Church and Community.
It should be a society or fellowship of, by, and for Christian Men who commit themselves to…
1. The God of Holy Scripture, and who believe the Holy Bible is our ultimate authority for life and faith.
This commitment requires we give ultimate allegiance only to God and God’s Word, not to any single man or religious authority. It also requires that we seek to govern all our affairs publicly and privately by the Word of God.
2. Jesus Christ, God the Son, who alone forgives sin and gives eternal life.
This commitment requires that we look only to Jesus Christ for eternal life. It also requires that we fear for the ultimate destiny of all people who trust in any other person, religious system, government, or idol as their Savior in Christ’s place. To that end we must graciously point all people everywhere to Jesus Christ the Lord, for He has no rivals.
3. God the Holy Spirit whose work is not complete until, filled with the Spirit, we renounce evil works and present our bodies as living sacrifices holy and acceptable unto God.
This commitment requires us to daily repent of our sins and in the fellowship of like minded brothers learn to live as mature Christian men who serve Jesus Christ which includes passing on our faith to our families, our friends, those whom God sends across our path and to the next generation through our words and deeds.
A Call To Action
Believing that we are in a time of CRISIS in this nation…
Believing that Christian men must be live up to their God given responsibilities to themselves, their family, their nation and, most importantly, their GOD, and
Believing that special accountability, dedication, and encouragement are needed in the company of like minded BROTHERS,
All Christian Men reading these words are called to
1. Express their interest by contacting us by email or phone!
2. Attend informational and organizational meetings that are being scheduled now. We will email you when the meeting schedule is finalized!
3. Prayerfully consider the formation of a unique brotherhood composed of Bible Believing Christian men from every Protestant church in our area to serve Christ and His Church by providing
A. Christian Fellowship, Accountability, Encouragement and Service for Men
B. Promote Christian Manhood, the Christian Family and Christian Society
C. Promote the Christ Centered, Bible Centered Protestant Christian Faith.
